Meeting Room Policy
The JWL library offers free use of meeting room for small groups or individuals who need a space to meet on a non-regular basis. This might include, but not limited to, short-term meetings, programs, interview sessions, retreats, short-term use by visiting scholars. All activities should be consistent with the library’s mission. This policy refers to
- Room 350
- Hance Room.
- H.M.S. Richards Room

- AU classes,
- Seminars
- Study groups
- Academic meetings
- Groups and organizations
Patron Services maintains a reservation system for use of the meeting rooms. All requests should be made in advance to Rozenia Marinho, 269 471-6259, or rozenia@lesvoorbereiding.com
The following Information is required in order to make a reservation:
- contact person,
- phone number / email,
- class or organization name, and purpose.
Guidelines
- Standing reservations for regularly scheduled classes or events are not acceptable
- Food and beverages are not permitted in the rooms when they are used by non-library groups.
- Patron Services Department manages the use of the rooms on a day-to-day basis.
- Rooms will be locked when not in use.
- A key will be kept at the Circulation desk, and should be returned promptly when the room is vacated.
- Users will be required to surrender an ID whenever the key is taken.
- All groups using the rooms should leave them clean and orderly. Failure to do this may forfeit their future use of the rooms.
- Meetings are expected to take place within posted library hours.

The H.M.S. Richards’ Room is reserved for short-term use or visiting scholar use.
